Wind pc Vs Eeebox
Both computers have a 160GB hard disk, but MSI opted for a 3.5″ hard drive, which runs at 7200rpm and is less expensive, but the eeebox’s 2.5″ HD at 5400rpm will have a lower power consumption and make less noise - a quality that is more that welcome.
When connecting to an LCD or a plasma TV, the eeebox has the egde: With a VGA connector, the wind pc will convert digital signal into analog, resulting in a quality loss. The eeebox uses a DVI connection, which sends the signal as digital.
The Wind PC does have an optical combo drive, so you will be able to watch DVD movies.
On the other side, the eeebox has a complete wireless connectivity, with bluetooth and Wifi 802.11n adapters, while wind pc lacks both.
Last but not least, the Wind PC is significantly bigger that the eeebox, due to the bigger hard disk and the dvd drive: about 39% wider, 35% higher, and 1.36″ thicker.
I think the eeebox was better designed as the dream inexpensive computer anyone would like to have next to his TV.
