eee stick
May 30, 2008 – 6:01 amAfter the first pictures of the eee box, we could see clearly who is a source of inspiration for Asus. A wiimote inspired product is about to enter the market: the EeeStick.
Surfing on the success of the eee pc product line, Asus decided to produce the eee stick, a wiimote clone for PC, made of two wireless analog controllers - as related by Jeremy.

The eee stick contains a motion sensitive technology based on a gyroscope, reproducing spatial movements.
Wireless transmission is archieved through a RF signal.
The fact that the eee stick can be used also as a wireless mouse can be interesting: we can think of many practical uses with multimedia, for functions such as raising the volume, fast forward. If Asus come up with a good software solution, the eee stick looks very promising.
The eee stick is primarily targeted at gamers though. The wiimote made the success of the Nintendo wii console, so we can expect PC gamers to be waiting for such a device.
As the lady on the picture suggests, the EeeStick will be perfect for hack and slash games!

The announced price tag is $70, of 45€.
