Airis, a Spanish company, is preparing a new lost cost UMPC for the market, the Kira.

As you can see, the Kira’s hardware is very simmilar to the EEE PC 4G 701. The looks are not very different either:

The Airis Kira is powered by the Mandriva 2008 Spring operating system, which is the first major linux distribution to be eee pc ready.
Airis has also created an interesting offer for the Spanish market: The Kira for 99€, and a 8.25€/month plan with the Mobile operater Telefonica including mobile internet.
The Kira has the potential to be quite popular in Japan too, since it means light or killer in Japanese.
