How to create an eee wallpaper
The EEE PC’s screen resolution is 800×480, so you need to create an adapted picture.
From The Gimp, you can go under the menu Image, Scale the image.
Change the width to 800, the height will adjust by itself, and click on scale. You can crop the image if you are not satisfied with its ratio (selection tool, with fixed size of 800×480).
Once your wallpaper is finished, press File, Save as. Since the easy mode has a few tabs, you need to name your picture as follows:
- accessibility_internet_wallpaper.jpg for the Internet tab
- accessibility_learn_wallpaper.jpg for the Learn tab
- accessibility_play_wallpaper.jpg for the Play tab
- accessibility_settings_wallpaper.jpg for the Settings tab
- accessibility_work_wallpaper.jpg for the Work tab
How to change your eee’s wallpaper
From the default Xandros system, you need first to open the terminal with ctrl+alt+t, then sudo XandrosFileManager. Replace the corresponding images in the folder /opt/xandros/share/AsusLauncher with the wallpapers you created. The wallpapers for the accessibility theme will be changed now.
