eee pc gaming
March 18, 2008 – 3:38 amLinux offers many interesting games, which can help you kill some time or having fun while travelling.
Requirements
You have first to add software repositories. A detailed guide can be found on eeeuser’s wiki: http://wiki.eeeuser.com/addingxandrosrepos.
Frozen bubble

Frozen bubble is one of my favourite linux games. It’s a very addictive puzzle game, much like the arcade title Puzzle Bobble. You can play the levels as a single player, design your own levels. Multiplayer gaming is also supported with two players, LAN and online modes.
To install Frozen Bubble you have to open the terminal with ctrl+alt+t and run the command:
sudo apt-get -f install frozen-bubble
Then you only need to type the command frozen-bubble in the terminal to start the game.
Quick Presentation
Super Tux Kart
Super Tux Kart is a decent 3D racing game with nice graphics. You can use powerups during races, and there are multiplayer modes as well. It runs perfectly on the EEE PC, the game window taking up the full screen. Some levels reminded me of the famous Mario Kart on DS.

You can install it with the command:
sudo apt-get -f install supertuxkart
Typing supertuxkart on the terminal will launch the game.
